We have fired up brick oven #2 a couple of times this year and love it. Guests also love it as it creates a shorter wait time during heavier pizza days!
Last year we planted Marquette grapes from the University of Minnesota's breeding program and hope to someday offer our own homemade wine. It takes a few years to get the vines established, but we are very excited that this new endeavor is underway.
At Red Barn Farm of Northfield, we grow top quality, pesticide free produce on our 10-acre farm. We use many of those toppings on our fresh, brick oven-baked pizzas during our weekly "pizza nights" (May 6 – October 28. Click on the Pizza Night tab for days/hours we are open). While here, stop into our general store where you can buy our fresh salsa, specialty sauces, eggs and other homemade products (our pasture-raised hens lay wonderful, golden-yolked eggs).
We also host weddings and special events at our picturesque farm, where you and your guests will encounter beautiful simplicity and generous hospitality. Our updated 100-year-old barn offers a laid back setting that harkens to a simpler time.
We are completing a vision that the prior owners began. A deck is being added to the East end of the barn. We know you will love the magnificent view to the South/Southeast.
